Religion

We talked about prayer and making the sign of the cross.  We will be going to Mass next Thursday. Today our focus was on the word “pray”.

Spelling

Today we worked on making an alphabet worm and being able to put the pieces together in the correct order.  The children are also beginning an alphabet book.  They had the letters K and T today.  The goal was for them to find words and pictures that started with those letters, they then cut out the word/picture and pasted them onto their alphabet page.

Writing

Today we had a shortened period due to PE so we continued working on our phonics.

Reading

We started guided reading today.  Every child has a book in their backpack that they need to read to a parent tonight at home.  Please let your child read the book to you.  Then sign the form that is enclosed in the baggie and return to school the next day.

Math

Today we focused on adding. There is a homework sheet coming home tonight.

Computers

Science

Today we started a weather unit.  We talked about different types of weather and how we know what type of weather is happening when we look outside.

Remember, book orders are due in by Friday.
