Religion

 Reviewed vocabulary words- Faith, Believe, Church, and Creation.  The students had to find the definition to the words hidden in the classroom.

Spelling        

Worked on our spelling list.  Located the vowel in each word and identified the correct spelling word in each sentence.

Language

Word Wall Words- they are I, bug, wanted, was, and not. 

Reading

We are doing 10-15 minutes of nightly reading. Be sure to have your child talk about their reading.  Make sure your child does all the writing! 

The students learned that reading is thinking.  They practiced using the read log to keep track of the books they have read.   

Math

 Working on groups of tens and ones.  Parents you can use this website for extra practice for your child.  When on the website look for Chapter 1.

Social Studies

Learned about rural, urban, and suburb areas.  Talked about what made up each area.  The students created a chart and labeled each area.

Special Notes

 Make sure your child is studying their spelling words.  The test is FRIDAY
